HOW TO PERFORM DIRECT MOXIBUSTION (BASIC)

  1. Rotate and squeeze Moxa until it gets hard in your Thumb and Second finger.
  2. Make a small rice seed shaped size of Moxa.
  3. Apply your saliva or minimum water to location of meridian and make Moxa firmly STAND. (See image)
  4. Using inscents  or moxibustion pen to light up the Moxa (DO NOT USE REGULAR LIGHTER OR TORCH)
  5. Wait until all fire is out completely from Moxa (Sometimes it can take few seconds based on the compression of Moxa)

MOXA SIZE AND STEP-UP

Start with smallest Moxa

3sec then 5sec, 10sec, 20sec….


DO NOT PERFORM moxibustion

! When windows are open

! Near Strong fan or air-condition

! DO NOT Blow or breathe out to moxa


ALWAYS BE READY

! put out a fire

! terminate moxibustion

! remove moxibustion
